Ridgefield Apartments at 86 Governor Street, the only National Green Building Standards (NGBS)-certified Gold Level Multi-Family residential building in Ridgefield, will open its doors from 1 pm to 3 pm on Oct. 3, for a fun, informative and family-friendly tour and exhibition of green construction and sustainable building technologies and techniques. Apple cider and donuts will be served.
The event will be led by Ridgefield environmental advocate Molly McGeehin, president and treasurer of the Ridgefield Action Committee for the Environment (RACE), treasurer and board member of the Friends of Garden of Ideas, member of the Ridgefield Library’s Green Building Committee and former Ridgefield Press “Enviro-Tips” columnist. Steve Zemo, the developer and operator of the property, will discuss the economics and business of green building.
